Humpback Whale | 8"x7"

Humpback Whale on wood is inspired by my love all things ocean. My idea was to make a Ying and Yang piece from my love of whales. The wood slabs I use are Basswood which gives a great contrast when working with Micron Pens. I primarily use Micron pens in all my work. I find I have the darkest black of any ink I have used so far. Great little pen which doesn't run on most surfaces. I love going back to my roots and working on wood with live edges. It gives the art such a natural feel.

This piece is ready to hang and has a coat of matte finish to preserve the ink. Please note, each item is uniquely handmade, right from the wood piece to the illustrations. Comes sealed in a protective matte finish to preserve ink.

These wood slabs are a natural product and display unique and individual characteristics. No two pieces are alike in the world. Expect slight variations in grains, knots and other markings. Therefore each slab will vary slightly from what is represented in the example photos.
